Welcome to Chris Dove Writes! I’m Chris Dove, the founder of the site. While your reading this, I’m more than likely dancing, running, doing yoga, reading, cooking, or playing with my energetic dog, Rhea. Throughout my life, personally and professionally, I’ve had the opportunity to continue to learn, to acquire new knowledge and skills. Something that brings me joy is sharing whatever I’m learning and thinking about with others, whether that knowledge comes to me through studies or life experience.

About Chris Dove Writes

I’ve taken on many roles, “worn many hats”, throughout the years. Much of my adult life has been spent sharing sociological insights to students at community colleges. In that position, I’ve had the pleasure of instructing a variety of courses. I’ve taught everything from Introduction to Sociology and Marriage and Family to Technology and Society and Leadership Development Studies.

A few years ago, I decided to overhaul my career and took a position at a university, creating programs to raise awareness around and help prevent, sexual assault, dating abuse, and stalking on campus. I also trained faculty, staff, and students on how to support survivors of trauma.

In October of 2019, I left that position to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a writer. To that end, I started this site to blog about wellness topics from fitness and mindset to meditation and self-care.

Wellness, Well-Being, and Living a Life You Love!

I believe that we all have the capacity to do things, every day, that will improve our wellness, well-being, and quality of life. Significant improvements can be achieved through small changes targeted at crucial areas. Making strides toward becoming healthier, happier, and more connected to our loved ones should be among our highest priorities. Reaching our personal development goals begins with small shifts in our habits and daily routines.

Upcoming Publications from Chris Dove Writes

When I’m not busy blogging, I’m working on my Writings In Progress (WIP). I recently finished the first draft of a new children’s picture book, which I plan to turn into a series. Another, which I finished a few months ago, is off being illustrated.

For adults, I have a few small ebooks, and one larger book, in progress. One is about different aspects of wellness and living a healthy lifestyle. I’m also in the process of organizing the first chapters of a book for people struggling with IBS and other digestive issues. It centers more on lifestyle changes than medical interventions or dietary shifts, although I do plan to provide an overview of some of those topics.

Authors, bloggers, and influencers spend a considerable amount of time creating material for promotional purposes. I truly love designing digital content.
